Update Specialist

Responsibilities

• •### Job Responsibilities * Monitor and update active loads in the transportation management system (TMS) and other company platforms. * Provide timely and accurate load status updates to customers, brokers, and internal departments. * Communicate with drivers throughout the trip to track their location, progress, pickup, delivery, and estimated arrival times. * Follow up with drivers regarding pickup and delivery appointments, delays, traffic, breakdowns, and other issues affecting the load. * Manage and maintain accurate information for assigned loads from pickup through final delivery. * Update load statuses, arrival/departure times, ETAs, and other required information in company systems. * Coordinate with dispatchers, brokers, customers, and drivers to ensure smooth transportation operations. * Identify and report potential delays or operational issues and communicate them to the appropriate team members. * Monitor driver check-ins and ensure required updates and documents are received on time. * Follow up on missing PODs, BOLs, delivery confirmations, and other required documents. * Maintain accurate records and ensure all load information is updated promptly. * Handle multiple loads simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. * Escalate urgent issues, service failures, or significant delays to management or the appropriate department. * Maintain professional and respectful communication with drivers, customers, brokers, and company staff. * Support the dispatch and operations teams with daily load management and administrative tasks.
